Priorities for Evaluating Instructional Materials: Research Update

This update adds research findings to the major priorities for evaluation of K-12 instructional materials in Florida. The Office of Instructional Materials, Florida Department of Education, funded this report to ensure that the adoption process incorporates the most up-to-date research for evaluating the effectiveness of K-12 instructional materials.
The research report includes the following chapters: Introduction, Statewide Adoption in Florida, Evolution of Instructional Materials Design, Challenges for Evaluation Committees, Major Priority Areas for Evaluation (Content, Presentation, and Learning), Evaluation Process, Appendix A, and References.
