Florida Department of Education Contracts with CITES for Library Solutions - 3/08/2006
The Florida Department of Education has awarded a contract for CITES’ Library Solutions service to develop a Web-based on-line catalog and library management system. CIMES has designed and developed a Web-based integrated library portal for the California Department of Health, Tobacco Control Section's two library branches. A Web portal developed by CIMES for the California Tobacco Control Program was successfully launched in August. Usability Services Essential to Website Use and Design - 6/23/2009
Developers at the Center for Information Management and Educational Services planned and successfully implemented new usability testing to evaluate California’s Web-based library portal, ROVER. The testing was facilitated by Brian Arsenault and Tricia Elton. New Web Training Service a Winner with the Client! - 10/04/2004
As part of its commitment to innovative solutions, CITES found a new way to deliver user training when it recently launched the next generation of the California Online Tobacco Information System (OTIS). From Florida, CITES conducted on-line trainings via the Web, using its recently purchased application, WebMeeting. More than 100 California OTIS users participated in the Web meetings. Nebraska Department of Health Awards CITES Fifth Consecutive Contract - 2/10/2005
Nebraska Department of Health (DOH) issued its fifth consecutive contract to CITES to provide Web support services (hosting and technical assistance) for the Tobacco Reporting and Information Network (TRAIN). TRAIN, a powerful Web-based system, was developed and produced by CITES in 2001. It allows Nebraska DOH to manage procurements and track the progress of grantees. Florida ExpertNet Technology Licensing Portal Launched - 1/03/2006
CITES recently launched a one-stop shop on the Florida ExpertNet Web site for identifying licensing opportunities at Florida’s universities. Users no longer have to go to each university’s technology transfer office to seek licensing opportunities. The Tobacco Control Program (TCP) at the California Department of Health has contracted with CIMES for the 7th consecutive year to develop its business information systems. CIMES Library Portal is a Hit with Clearinghouses at the Florida DOE - 6/27/2008
Three clearinghouses at the Florida Department of Education (DOE) use the CIMES Library Portal with great success as their online catalog (OPAC). The DOE awarded CIMES a contract for the third year to provide refinements to the current portal, as well as to continue the hosting and maintenance.
CIMES Assisting the Hilltop Institute in Maryland - 11/07/2008
The Hilltop Institute at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) has contracted with CIMES to assist in the design of a tobacco program information and tracking system. The system is being developed for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The project is scheduled through June 2010.
CIMES Develops Web-based Training and Portal for Textbook Adoption - 9/22/2009
The CIMES instructional design team recently created interactive multimedia learning modules for on-demand, virtual training. These modules include research-based content, self assessments, and simulations for practice.
To deliver the training to statewide users, CIMES developed REALM (Review & Evaluation for Adoption of Learning Materials) a role-based Web portal for the Florida Department of Education. REALM trains members of the Florida State Instructional Materials Committees to review. . .
